Embassy Review : My fiance's interview was on 12/23/2013 at 9:30am. He arrived very early that morning and waited for the embassy to open. Once the embassy opened, he went in. He said that there was a small line. They checked his documents (DS forms). He was finger printed and turned in all of the required docs (non-impediment, police certificate, etc). He said that he waited for a little while; not too long. Then he was called up by an older white male. He said that he raised his right hand and was "sworn" in. The gentleman only asked him a few questions:
-What is your name?
-What is your fiancee's name?
-Where did you meet?
-What was she in JA for the first time you met her?
-What kind of work does she do?
-Write fiancee's name twice

That was it. He was approved and given the green slip with the DHL confirmation sheet attached to it. He said the gentleman told him that he could receive his visa in 2 weeks or less but that it could be longer.

Just wanted to note that they did not check any additional evidence nor did they take the supporting documents that go along with the i134 (bank letter, employer letter, ect); they only took the i134.

Overall, he said it was a nice, smooth sailing experience.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
