Embassy Review : |
Overall it was a good experience. My wife and I arrived about 5:45 am and waited in line. We were probably 5th in line along with about 10-12 other people. Note: the line on the right side is for IR-1/CR-1's and the line on the left is for all others (the line on the left is longer).
We got in around 7:00 am (make sure you bring your interview letter and then the wait was on. We were called around 10:30 for a pre-check, an embassy staffer checks for all the proper paperwork and etc. Finally around 11:20 we got called for the interview, quick and easy. My wife had brought an entire album and the officer only requested about 10 pics, asked me the petitioner about my job, how we met and asked my wife about the same questions.
He turned around to talk to a lady that interrupted our interview, when he turned around he smiled and said congrats! youve been approved!
And then my wife seem confused, and I had to tell her that the visa had been approved :-)
Afterwards, it took us 5 days to get her passport back with the visa packet from Cargo Expreso, 3 business days and Saturday and Sunday-
Overall, the only downside of the whole process is the waiting, too much waiting. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
