Consulate Review: Guayaquil, Ecuador
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 29, 2013
Embassy Review : Sorry for taking so long to write a review. But here it come... I followed all the advices of the people and they were very good. I sat in the last row of the immigrant visa room and could hear all the interviews, what was asked and what people answered. I was first called to the "caja" window to deliver my papers, they asked how I met my fiancé, where, how many times we have seen each other, if we had wedding plans, if he has been in Ecuador before. They gave me back some papers we submit with the petition. After that I went back to the room and waited. While waiting for my interview, the consul was interviewing someone else and she didn't notice that her microphone was on, and everybody in the room could hear through the speakers everything that she was saying... So I approach and told her, she wasn't mad for me interrupting but instead she was thankfully. I think that helped because when my time came she was very nice to me.I was the last one to be interviewed that day. The consul was a blonde woman, she read my papers in silence, she made me swear to tell the truth and then the only thing she asked was if I speak English and if I've been convicted of any crimes before and I said no. Then she gave me back my papers and said I was approved. It was maybe 7 minutes interview, not more than that.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
