Embassy Review : Was this an interview? It didn't feel like one -- going to the embassy with my wife was the best thing I ever did for the entire process. I have been to the embassy before but the people there are extremely nice and helpful.

First window call up was just finger printing, then we waited another 45 minutes and then was called up an talked to a nice pinay that just went over all the paperwork with us together to make sure things were in order. They didn't ask me for any additional items what-so-ever.

Third window was an American guy that asked me how the Angels were doing in the MLB because he was an Oakland A's fan. He pretty much asked me how we met and then said it was quite unique in his line of work. He never asked my wife one question. He did a formal swear-in and as he threw our paperwork into a tray behind him he said "you know what that sound is?" I said "no, but I hope it's a good one." He replies "that's the sound of approved visa so hurry up and get her a plane ticket because she's going back home with you."

NOTE: I found out when we were brought to the second window (after the fingerprints) that even though we had not used my wife's married name she still needed an NBI clearance under BOTH last names. It was an inconvenience but still they just put the visa on hold pattern until we submitted that document. I had it in my hands in just three days.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
