Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 20, 2013
Embassy Review : Alhamdulillah the interview went well. It was very short. I did not accompany my wife to the interview. Her interview time was 8:00am and she was out of the Embassy by 9:30am

Questions asked were:
- Who is inviting you to the US?
- When did you get married?
- How did you meet?
- Why did you wait to apply?
- What would you do in the US (if anything)?
- Where was the wedding held
- How many people were at the wedding

The CO also asked to see the wedding pictures (my wife had taken the full album). The CO wanted to see specific pictures of the guests at the wedding.

After this, the CO congratulated my wife and said that she was APPROVED!!! After this, the CO said the Passport with the Visa should be available in 7-10 days!

Alhamdulillah we are sooo happy!!!

POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2013-12-08
Embassy Review : We just did our POE from JFK. All in all a good experience. We were directed to go through the double doors towards the end of the right side of immigration (same place as the CDC). We had to wait for about an hour as there were roughly 30-40 people doing their POE at this time (thank god for a 5 hour layover). My wife was called up and had to sign the form for her Green Card and give her thumb print for it and was told to sit back down. 10 minutes after that, both me and my wife were called up, our Passports were stamped and we were told to exit to baggage claim! No harassment whatsoever, just a little wait time which we expected.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
