Consulate Review: Malaysia Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : February 26, 2014 Embassy Review : Our interview was very straight forward and pleasant. We had one glitch when the person initially processing our paperwork told us a document did not have a strong statement needed in regards to child custody. We were a little stressed about this and drove to the court that day to see what we could do. Long story short is the person did not read our docs carefully enough because the person who conducted the interview told us our documentation was very strong. As the petitioner I chose to fly to Malaysia and be present for the interview. My fiancee and I both believe my presence helped us in getting approval. The interviewer actually called me (petitioner) in to a booth by myself and asked me a couple of basic questions. How we met; how long had we known each other, etc. Just be completely honest in the entire process and things will work out. Rating : Very Good
