Easy and pleasant.
I went to visitors line and I waited in line like everyone (visitors or other people with yellow package). The officer asked me for my passport, took fingerprints and took a photo. Asked some questions like when you going to marry. Took my package and said that I don't need it anymore. I also asked a few questions and... Welcome to the United States! :) |

Filed citizenship after having my Green Card approved on waiver.
The interview was just formality as they already had all the evidence and documentation regarding my case and it was proved I was legitimate. Very easy, simple questions straight from the book and simple marriage questions: how we met, his DOB, marriage date, divorce date, did we live together during divorce process, how long did the process take, dates when he was visiting me before marriage, did he met my family, etc.
The girls were just ding their job and their job was to check if my answers will match whatever was written in paperwork. They did not care if I work or where I work. They asked me if I am always filling out my taxes and if I owe anything to IRS. I spent more time in the office waiting on them to type all the things out there. |

I was only asked about DS160, Birth Certificate, pictures, police certificate and affidavid.
Mrs. consul was very nice! She was kind and was smiling all the time, so all stress was gone.
For the interview I was waiting about 2,5 hour. Conversation took about 5-10 minutes.
She apoligized me that I had to wait so long (I was last in the line). Then I swear that everything I say is true and she started to ask questions like: How did we meet? How many times my fiance visited me? Did I see his parents? What my parents say about all this situation? Do I have siblings? What is common in me and my fiance? What do we like to do together? What I am going to do when I arrive to the states? What kind of studies? When I am going to depart? How and when we plan our weeding? etc.
Converstaion was easy and without stress.
Ah, and she wanted to see our pictures and some of them I described. She also knew what time each one could be taken, what shows that she knows our case very well.
And the end "that's all" and she informed me when I can pick up my passport.
Good luck to everyone!

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
