Comments : Hi guys: This was a really great experience and POE. Flight landed at 6:40 AM and I got into the passport line for visitors. After a half hour wait in line, went up to the window 34 and was asked to take the biometrics and asked to go into secondary processing for K1 and immigrant visas. There were two people there. Was asked to submit the Visa packet and asked to wait. There were two officers there and one person before me. Five minutes later I was asked to come to window and she asked me my name, my fiance's name. She asked me when we got engaged and I told them that I didn't remember but that we have been together since 2007. That was all and she told me to take a seat. A minute later she called me again and said welcome to the US.

Embassy Review : Interview Date: 01/27/2014
Time: 10:30 AM
I did the biometrics on the 25th and reached the consulate @ 10:15 AM. There was practically no line. Like 5 people in front of me. I was in the embassy in like 5 minutes. I was given a number and asked to wait. Inside, there were about 15 people waiting. Two minutes later, we were asked to go into the building. All the people present were K1s or CR1s etc. My number flashed on the screen and I went to the window. The CO asked me for my papers and then my medical. He asked me my fiance's name and where she lived. Then he handed me a 221(g) for original letter from her employer verifying employment. I was asked to file the waivers for my prior deportation. That was it. I was in and out of the place within 22 minutes. Great experience and a very positive outcome.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
