The CO at the end of interview said Congratulations! Your case is approved and you will receive your passport with visa and packet through courier with 7-10 days but status on CEAC status shows as Administrative Processing, Really stressed. On 26th the status changed to ISSUED, really feeling relieved. On 30th of December, case status date again changed to 30th of December and FINALLY today 31st of December, I have picked up my visa and can join my wife and daughter. Good luck to everyone. |

Got at the embassy at 7.20 am, the first shuttle bus leaves at 7 am in the morning. You get the token for your relevant visa type (Immigrant/Non-Immigrant) and go through security gates and scanners as found at airports mainly. You wait for your turn to get finger prints done and two 2" x 2" photos to be taken. You go to a hall and drop your passport, medical at the counter with the interview letter. After the CO is ready to conduct the interview, he/she will call you. Be comfortable, friendly and most of all honest and maintain eye contact at all times possible. First you take oath that everything you say will be honest etc.... I was asked who is calling, answered wife, asked for original Urdu Nikah Nama, which is actually signed by bride and groom, a few questions about spouse, saw a few wedding photos, how often do I contact her etc. At the end the CO gave Nadra issued Marriage Registration Certificate and Birth Certificate and said CONGRATULATIONS! Your Case is Approved and you should receive your passport with visa and packet in 7-10 days.
When I got home, checked status after a few hours, Oh My God! It's AP, dunno why it went to AP when my case was approved. Will update once I receive my visa. (UPDATE: Status changed to ISSUED after 2 working days. People were correct, it was printing, preparing packet administrative processing.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
