Event Description

Embassy Review : I got to the consulate around 6:00am the line was crazy long already, and los buscones ni se diga, they are everywhere DO NOT listen to them!!! I was grouchy I didn’t have my coffee and it was too early lol. In line you will see all kinds of people, well dressed, overdressed and some of them looking crazy LADIES DO NOT WEAR HEELS ! you will stand in a line for a long time. We waited and waited in line I was swearing! I was wearing a nice Cheetah Dressy blouse, leggings and read flats very comfortable. My fiancé was wearing a button up shirt and jeans, he went in first guy has to in a different line they go in first, we sitted and I was very hot ! wearing and desperate ! I am not a very patience person, but I couldn’t help but notice how many crazy people in the consulate giving advices like their attorneys, they opened the cafeteria I had a café con leche and my boyfriend a black coffee our number was called to cashier Number 17 to give in the passport and the forms, it was a Dominican guy very nice and he was even joking out with us, I gave him exact thing that he asked me for, Forms, one picture and passport, he said our forms were very well completed I told him I did them, he said Muy bien, now go pay the $80 dollars and come back here with the receipt, We did the exact thing, he told us have a sit, we waited waited more and our number was called again to cashier number 18 for fingerprinting, we got fingerprinted and we went back y nos sentamos, I noticed my fiancé was nervous at that point because this was it!!!! Next thing we get call they will interview us, WELL we waited more and our number was called to ventanilla Number 23, it was an American lady with a boy haircut, she asked me in Spanish my name,
To me:
Whats your name?
How did you guys meet? (at this point I was speaking in English her Spanish was bad) facebook,
But how did you find him, who introduce you to him? I just found him
So you were looking for someone on facebook? No I wasn’t I saw him and I thou he was cute and I friend request him.
How did the relationship develop? We started talking in January and I came to visit him on July 2012
Do you have any families here in the Dominican republic? Not really, I have uncles and cousins but not very closed to me.
What do you do for living? I am a legal secretary
How long you been working there?
How many times you been in the Dominican republic?
Where does he work right now?
Where was he working before his current job?
Has he ever apply for a Visa to enter the United States? Yes
Why was it denied?
And when did he try to apply?
Okay Ms. Rodriguez you can go have a sit outside.
Questions to him;
Whats her name?
Who does she live with?
How did you guys meet?
Where did she stay when she came in febuary ?
At his fathers house. Why not in your house? My father loves her as a daughter.
At what time did you guys wake up?
What did you guys have for breakfast?
How did you wake up?
*(at this point I was just looking at him and nervous because she didn’t even ask for proof or pictures or nothing)*
My fiancé called me and told me to go in
Questions to me again:
At what time did you wake up?
Who woke up who?
And what did we have for breakfast?
She didn’t say anything also at this point ( I did not see the green slip) she said to another woman consulate ( where’s the ticket I just had it in my hands) well she found it and said felicitaciones su visa a sido aprovada.

:DD!!! YAY! She did not show any type of emotions at all thru the whole interview,
Didn’t ask for pictures or proof of relationships,
-do not put your pictures in an album!
we got out of there before 10:00am
Good luck!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
