Hi Everyone,
My visa interview was at 11:00 AM on Sep 3rd 2013, I reached the consulate by 10:00 AM. As soon as i got out of the taxi directly went to the VFS guy at the gate and showed him my interview letter, he sent me inside immediately though my interview time was after 1 hr . The VFS people inside the consulate too asked me to go the token counter directly ( even though there was a big line ) and i was given a token and was asked to sit. After couple of minutes my number was announced to show up before a counter where an indian lady took my passport, medicals and return me all the original documents that were submitted to NVC and took my finger prints. She explained my rights in US and $165 fee that i need to pay after my visa is approved.
Was again asked to wait for sometime, and token was called up on another counter where an american officer was waiting. We greeted each other, he asked me routine questions
1. How did you meet ur wife
2. What kind of wedding
3. How many days was the wedding
4. How often do you both talk to each other.
5. (looked at the photos)
and then he said the golden words " Your visa is approved and you will get ur passport in 1 week "... Thats all, it went so smooth.
Thanks everyone for your support, feel free to message me if you have any questions. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
