Arrived at the Consulate early, through the metal detector, and had bag & phone held. Took wallet & papers needed for interview. Would have slipped a book in there had I known that I would wait over 2hrs! Room was full, and after a 20min wait was called up by a lovely woman to go through my application ensuring all papers were there, which they were. She informed me they were two officers down so there would likely be a significant wait. I then paid the fee and sat!
I was the last one interviewed for the day, after waiting for 2hrs I was very pleased to be called up, unfortunately only to be told they had uncovered some information regarding my fiance, and I was handed a refusal! Fortunately I was informed that I wouldn't need to do another interview nor oath, and I was given clear information how to go about rectifying the situation, which turned out the information they had found was incorrect, & I was granted the Visa two days later!
I was asked for evidence of an ongoing relationship, he read through our Skype log, and took emails & photocopies of cards we had sent each other.
Also our NOA2 had expired so we requested an extention via email and was granted that.
Quite an experience!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
