Embassy Review : |
Everything was pretty organized for the number of people there, guess I would call it organized chaos. We arrived around 530 AM and finished around 1130. We could have arrived earlier and gotten done faster, however I was happy with waiting longer inside with the air con then outside before entering.
We spent almost the whole time waiting in one line or another, once we got to each window things went very fast. The pre-interviewer only asked my fiancee a couple of questions (how did we meet, have either been married before, etc.) The CO we had was very nice. My fiancee was really nervous, and he told her to take a deep breath and relax. After that he actually was laughing a lot with us as he asked a few questions of me and my fiancee, as well as her son. In fact, in a funny moment, my fiancee's son dropped a few peso coins on the counter he had in his hand and the CO joked "are you trying to bribe me?" The CO even asked if we could stay the rest of the day as he was laughing so much.
Questions asked:
How did you meet?
What food does your fiance like?
How many times has your fiance visited?
What is one interesting fact about your fiancee? (asked to the petitioner)
What do you do/who do you work for? (asked to the petitioner)
Anyway, after a couple of questions we got the good news, APPROVED! As we front loaded the application with evidence, they didn't ask for anything additional.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
