Comments : 11-13-2005 Yes!Yes!Yes! We received our NOA2 today... less than 60 days from NOA1 to NOA2!! Now on the the NVC and Singapore.. we will be together soon!!
12/6/2005 - Yulee recived her Pkt 3 today!! I will be with her for almost 1 month in Singapore (12/20 -1/31) and we are hoping she can come home with me.
12/11/2005 - I was just in touch with the Consulate in Singapore... very helpful folks there... they offered us a choice of 2 interview dates, one as ealy as the 5 Jan 2006!! We will be in the Philippines for Christmas vacation or we would take the earlier interview date.. however, we are happy to know when the end of this Journey (this stage anyway) will be over. I\\\'ll have Yulee here with me in Florida on 31 Jan 2006.. we will be married (civil service for now) just a few days later. We are going to try entering the US at JFK so we can try to get the temp EAD, then after marriage, we will immediately apply for AOS & regular EAD. So far, we are happy with the progress... things are moving right along faster than we originally thought.
1/24/2006 WE HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!! Our interview was yesterday and it was simple and easy. The intake clerk in the morning, and the Consular Officer in the afternoon were both pleasant, and had smiles on thier faces. It took about 10 minutes in the morning and about 10 minutes in the afternoon. I really think being prepared, submitting more than they asked for (documentation), submitting everything in a neat and orderly, tabbed & indexed folder, made thier job easier and they appreciated it. We are so happy!! Everything has run a smooth as a weel oiled machine so far, and it would appear that we are way ahead of others timelines... maybe because of preparation (all from great VJ advice), or maybe just luck. Whatever the reason, we are so happy.

Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Houston
POE Date : 2006-02-01
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : People at POE were friendly and efficient. They remembered us from when I called regarding the Temp EAD while I was still in Singapore.. the Chief Immigration officer actually came out to the processing area and apologized, saying that she had made an error and advised us incorrectly. She told us that it was revised USCIS policy to NOT issue temp EAD at POE any more, and even showed us the regulation. She said she didn't know on what authority JFK was doing it, but she sincerely wished she could for us (and I think she really sincerely wanted to help us).
Oh well, we tried hard, and we didn't get the temp EAD, but at least we are here, together, married, and very happy.

Event Description

Embassy Review : Very simple, the people were professional, the interview was so brief- maybe 10 minutes at the most.
I can only guess that being over-prepared helped a lot. Our original I-129F application contained every document and supporting documentation that was required for the entore process.... maybe when the case officer reviewed our file he smiled and expidited it.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
