Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 27, 2013
Embassy Review : The interview was scheduled for 8. I arrived around 7.30. Some people were already at the gate but not in line. I was the second in line. The gate opened at 8. I went inside 5 minutes later. At 8.25 I was through with everything and interview included and left with the approval promise by the consular officer. Everybody was very friendly and firm. The interview was conducted in German. The usual questions which you can read everywhere. He said also that I'll very likely get my visa quick so that I can board my plane, which I booked already. Because we would like to celebrate our anniversary. So very supportive.

Be sure you get your police certificate and all papers and medical in advance, because that must now be conducted before you get an interview appointment! You can't go for the medical and then next day for the interview anymore! All papers need to be mailed to the consulate and then if everything what they need is there then after it they will give you an appointment for the interview! It's probably because they had too many issues with people not having all their papers ready at the interview and then it was needed to send them back and schedule another interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
