I was able to attend the interview with my fiance. We went to the park in front of the embajada at 6 AM and it was full of people. A man stood on a stool and started calling out names of those with interviews for permanent visa on a microphone. They collected my fiance's carnet de identidad. We then waited until approximately 11:30 AM and then we finally entered the embajada. He had to ask if I could come in and the officer said yes. I just had to show my passport. We did not have our interview until 4 PM that day. It was such an exhausting day. They interviewed us together and it was a female american that interviewed us. She was so nice. She asked all the classic questions on the VJ website and then told us that the visa was approved. The interview was ~15 minutes long. They told my fiance to pick up his visa one week later but it was not ready so he had to unexpectently stay in havana and wait for it. They told him to come back 2 days later and it was ready :-)

His POE was Miami. He had no problems with immigration except that it took 5 hours to get through it and he missed his connection flight. Please keep this in mind when booking flights.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
