Packet 3 was never received. I called the consulate and they said to download it from their webpage, which was fine except we didn't get the letter of invitation. We are living in Mexico City, so we scheduled the ASC appointment here and didn't have a problem going without the letter. Once in Juarez, the clinic required the letter to be admitted, so we had to go to the consulate to get a copy in order to complete the process.
Another important thing to note, K-1 filers need to fill out the electronic DS-260, which requires a separate ID number. I had to call the NVC in order to get this number and complete the application.
The extra long wait for the K1 Visa to be received was because of a missing signature, usually it doesn't take that long! |

Request for Evidence to prove a 'Good Faith Marriage' - probably the most absurd request at this point after being in a relationship for over 8 years, married for 3 of those, but I was so sick of paperwork that I sent in the bare minimum for this Lifting of conditions portion of the process. It just goes to show that you can never send too much information, because for the RFE we sent in over 300 pages of bank statements, taxes, insurance forms, personal flight receipts, etc (totally 3.5 lbs of paper) and his case was approved within one week. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
