USCIS Case Status states 2012-10-19. 2012-10-23 received txt/email of pending NOA1.
Requested expedite on 2013-04-18 via customer service but 3 days later, CSC requested for more "supporting document" and letter explaining reason for expedite (financial loss). Expedite letter and "supporting document" faxed on day of approval -- unknown to me, after receiving email of approval.
May 13, 2013 received NVC hard copy letter dtd May 9, 2013 but with wrong consulate listed (Manila vice Hong Kong). Email sent to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov with fiancee employment contract in HK to change consulate to HK.
Needed to submit letter from Beneficiary stating request to transfer case from Manila to Hong Kong post with evidence of employment in Hong Kong (NVC copy of letter, HK ID and Work VISA). Letter faxed 5/24/13 and acknowledge receipt but beneficiary needed to provide original copy on 5/29/13. US Embassy Post in Hong Kong will inform my fiancee upon delivery of packet.
Per https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/ , US Embassy in Manila received K1 Petition and ready for interview scheduling/processing starting 5/24/2013. Timeline not updated since plan to use US Embassy in Hong Kong.
6/17/13: Hand delivered Packet 3 application to US Consulate in HK and informed by US Consulate in HK that they are still awaiting "official" packet from NVC obtained from US Consulate in Manila. Apparently, US Consulate in Manila sent NVC K1 VISA packet (original) to beneficiary last address in Philippines vice current address in Hong Kong.
Interview approved 7/25/13 but in Administrative Review due to final medical report (X ray results show spots). Essentially, waited about 3 months for a 2 month sputum sample & medical report completion based on evaluation of sample from two different hospitals and two different independent medical clinic to evaluate the two hospitals sample reports. Hence, the long delay of 3 months. Quite frustrating. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
