We waited 20 months to have the adjustment lifted. It was originally sent to the CSC which at the time was behind almost 13 months, which the time they were behind increased. Finally they transferred the paperwork to the Nebraska Service Center, where they lost from what we can tell have the information we sent. They sent us a RFE, which stated just a couple of items we sent of our whole package and more information was needed. Luckily we made 3 copies of the information just in case. I feel that there was a lot of incompetence in this process from the many calls we made and the several trips we made to the USCIS office. But the new green card was mailed on Nov. 30th 2018, should receive it sometime this week. |

Oh my... I have seen a lot of faces I had seen in Saint Lukes while having my medical. A lot of us again there! But oh yes, the waiting was a lot longer than the interviews.
I had fun talking with all of the guys who communicated with me... First call was for the finger print, then the Filipina consular officer, then she asked me if I am good for an American consular for the next interview I said fine... Oh yes, he was a good guy. I mean clear English and even cracked a joke. It was funny as he asked me about my Fiance's car model and name of the cat and dog and about he asked about my Fiance's uncle too :D. Then after him long waiting again for the final Filipino interview which was good as ok and he said I can go home yay!
It was long waiting every stage. The Filipina asked me a lot about my Fiance... She would ask for evidence or proof sometimes. Good thing I am ready for those... Mostly from the documents that my Fiance sent, othersfrom my own documents like the cenomar, green nbi, and authenticated birth certificate plus other pictures showing my Fiance and me with others. I showed yours but she asked for more. Good thing I printed a few more.
The guy officer was cool, he asked how we met, who started the communication, where will I live when I get there, who lives with my Fiance, I said Uncle only. Then who will live with us when I get there, he asked if the uncle had passed relationship I said I dont know, and if he has work I said yes. Children of his own, I said none... Who else live with you... Do you have cat and dog or any pet...then I answered maybelle the dog and mazy the cat :D. Then he said they are the children! You start with them he said then said just kidding and laughed :D. Then he asked if I want to work there I said yes, but baby first then after work. He asked how you proposed and where, what did my parents said about me being engaged.. He asked about my Fiance's work and why I chose him. It seems he liked my answers so.. He let me go. Yay!!!!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
