Comments : Keep AOS in mind when your fiance(e) or S/O arrives. They will have to get their medical stuff in order (either a check or a supplement vaccination form) prior to sending in the packet. You're also going to need a couple hundred bucks. BUDGET FOR THAT!!! Use your K-1, K-3, whatever packet for kind of a how-to for your AOS. If your other filing went well, your AOS should also. Good luck!

Local US CIS Office Review: Cincinnati OH
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : June 8, 2007
Embassy Review : AOS interview. Scheduled for 8:30, arrived 15 min. prior, were the first ones in the waiting area. Two other couples showed up, one for 8:30, one for 9:00. At about 8:35, the first couple got called and about two minutes later, we were up. We were finished before 8:50.

In the interview, we were sworn in, and the officer asked my wife her address, birthdate, and a few of the questions from the packet(Are you a criminal, prostitute, drug dealer, communist, terrorist, etc.?) then asked us both if we had any previous marriages, kids, how long we've known each other, etc. When she asked "when were you married?" I goofed-up and said the wrong date. (If that doesn't prove a real relationship, I don't know what does!)She asked about how we first met and what the circumstances were, etc. The only real "evidence" she asked for was "anything that's changed since your submission or anything you'd like to add to the packet." We gave a few photos from our wedding and a copy of our rental agreement and health/life insurance.

She said she had everything she needed and it looked like our case would be approved but she needed to do some more paperwork "on her end" and then submit it for final approval. We should know in a few weeks if we're approved or not.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
