Consulate Review: Peru Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : February 14, 2013 Embassy Review : The US Embassy in Lima was very comfortable with air conditioning and nice seating. My fiancee and her daughter were interviewed first in front of a thick glass window. The woman consulate was not a very nice lady. I (the US citizen) was told to "sit down". I learned that this meant I could not attend this part of the interview. They were asked a few questions and gave the woman all of our documents. Then we waited....After we called to another glass window to talk with another consulate. This was a very nice black man who asked us a few more questions. We were missing a document for custody of her daughter. We were told to send this DHL with the passports that were returned to us. 10 days later we called the embassy to learn that we were approved! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Rating : Good
