Event Description
Review Date : November 23, 2012
Embassy Review : Today is the schedule of my Visa interview. Before anything else, I would like to say thanks firstly to our Almighty Father whose always been there/here helping me with all the process I've been through from the very start. and also to my Fiancee, My family, My fiance's family, my office mate, my bosses, and to my friends who also supported me morally.

I arrived at the US embassy at 7:00 Am for 7:30am schedule. I was planning to be at the US embassy earlier like 1 and half hour but then the driver who took me there didn't able to woke up early that's why i am almost late....Good thing I arrived 30 minutes before my schedule time. There was already a long line for Non-immigrant but for the fiancee/immigrant were not much so then I able to enter quick.

So from the First step...the lady in a blue shirt asked my PASSPORT, DS FORMS and Appointment letter. In the DS Forms, it should be in order like DS156,157.156,157, and 156K and stapled them together. Only the first page of the appointment letter is needed. She also put the passport in the plastic ziplock with the biographic information shown. She returned them to me and instruct me to go to the building to get a stub. I gave the stapled documents to the window 1. She checked the documents and put a stub on it. she also gave me a stub. My lucky number is 6072. Then she instruct me to go to window 39 to drop the documents. I went to another building again (goshhhh..the door is so heavy but I able to manage it. Im strong enough. good thing i did ate breakfast ehhehehe...) So i went through x-ray check and the security guards checked my bag. (Gadgets particularly cellphones are not allowed, Sharp things and foods.)

I went to Window 39 to drop the stapled documents. She asked my Full name and Birthday. and instruct me to sit to the waiting area for the next step. You must keep an eye to digital board where your number will be flashed. Also make sure that the DS Forms will be filled up. do not leave any blank on it otherwise they will keep on calling you to filled them all up and it will possibly take longer hours of the process instead of quick process. Put None or N/A if needed.

At 7:55am, my number flashed for fingerprint scanning. I went to window 42 and then instruct me to sit again for the next step.

It took longer to wait before my number flashed again. I went to window 49 for the Filipino Consul Interview. He asked me to submit the following documents.

a)Passport
B)Birth certificate
c)Cenomar
D)NBI Clearance
E)Bank receipt
F)I-134 Affidavit of Support from my fiancee
G)Employment Certificate of my fiancee
H)ITR 2011 of my fiancee
I)3 months paystub of my fiancee

Question asked:

When is My Birthday?
How did i meet my fiancee?
When did we meet?
How many times he visited me?
When did he visit?
Did I travel abroad before?
When is our wedding?

and he asked our photos and I showed it to him. And then he told me to sit again and wait for the Final interview which will be the American Consul.

At 10:23am my number flashed again for American consul Interview. I went to window 60 and the interviewer was a lady..she seems on her late 20's. She's so nice. She greeted me first "Hello" How are you today" with a smile and of course I also responded with a smile too and then instruct me to raised my right hand as she did the same like an oath taking that everything in the documents is true. and I response yes. She then told me to put my right 4 fingers for a verify fingerprint scanning. And she begun the Q and A portion!

When is my Birthday?
How did we meet?
What year we meet?
when did i see my fiancee in person?
how he proposed?
Is he Married?
Am I married too?
Did I work Abroad?

And she asked our photos and i showed it to her...and finally she said alright you may go sit now and wait for the final call for the next window which is the releasing. She never told me Im approved but i never bothered to ask her because i can feel deep in my heart I am approved. The interview took only 5 minutes.

At 11:25am, the lady of the window 71 called our name. we were five (5) applicants. and when its my turn, the lady told me "you may go home now and wait for your Visa to be delivered" I said in response "Thank you very much" and she said "You're welcome" Yeheyyyyyyyyyyyy...

Finally, very soon i can be with my prince Charming. I've been longing to see him and hug him and kiss him again someday soon. God is really so good if you let him be the center in your life. He never refused of any of our request. Thank you Lord.

now my next step is the CFO...I don't be need to be hurry since i still have much time. I might be flying to San Francisco later of January if ever because the earlier flight is very expensive already. I cannot able to fly this December because I am still working and my resignation will be effective December 30...And I need to go home to Bohol to have spend Christmas with my Family and friends since this will gonna be my last Christmas with them if ever. It takes many years before I can able to go home again.

So to all applicants who are still going to have their interview, just relax. Don't get nervous because it's not really that bad. It's easy as long as you have all the documents needed.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
