Comments : Arrived at POE JFK Terminal 4.....took the US Citizen line with my fiancee where I was check in with the automated machine and was provided with the machines receipt with my picture and declaration. the Machine on take US Passport so I advise the usher that she was coming in with a K-1 and her son a K-2 Visa. He walked us down to a waiting room where a CBP office looked at her paper work and asked her to sit...We waited about an hour since there were a couple of people in front of me with different passport and visa issues. An hour later a female office called her name took her finger prints and photo stamped her passport and gave her the daeadine for us to marry and adjust status (90 days. Over all very good experiance at JFT T4 other than the wait

Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 25, 2014
Embassy Review : We had our appointment at 7:30am....We arrived at 6:30am and there was a long line waiting for the embassy staff to come out to start the process. The embassy staff came out around 7am and broke up the line according to the visa type. For our K1 visa we end up on line 3. Once on line 3 the embassy staff gave us direction on what order they wanted the documents in. From there we cleared security and went to window 4 where a Colombian embassy staff reviewed the documents and asked question about me and my fiancee and they asked just to sit and wait for her name to be called. In about 30 minutes, the American Consul called us and asked her to swear the she will be telling the truth. 3 simple question were asked. 1) Where will you live in the US 2) when and where did you meet 3) when did he arrived from the US on this trip. The she advised her that the visa was approved.

Overall a great experience
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
