Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 20, 2013
Embassy Review : The interview was on Monday 15 July and it went well. She arrived at 630am and she waited for 3 hours until she was interviewed by the Filipina consul. She was asked the following questions in Tagalog: Who is your petitioner? What's his address? Where did you meet him? How did you meet him? How many times did he come to the Philippines? What's his citizenship? Is he the biological father of the children? Was he married previously? Did you apply for a US Visa before? Why did you expedite the case? Do you have the passport pictures?

The American consul asked the following: When was the marriage? How did you meet him? When did you meet him? Is he the biological father of the kids? How many times did he visit the Philippines? How do we date? How do you talk to each other? Can you show me any letters? She goes through the letters and photos. The consul said, "Congratulations, your visa is approved. Please take a seat." The staff were friendly and courteous.

My wife and kids were done by lunch time and she opted to have the visas delivered to the 2 Go branch at the Mall of Asia. They received my wife and son's visa on Thursday 18 July. They received my daughter's visa on Friday 19 July.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
