Embassy Review : |
So my fiancee went back for his second interview today and was approved without AP - he said that he was there for over 3 hours and that everything moved very slow. His documents were checked , he was finger printed and the consular reviewed all our proof and asked the following questions - one about our age difference not being the norm in the middle eastern culture? about how his family felt about our engagement? had I met his family ? where I lived ? how we met? how many times I had been married before? where I worked? the dates of my first visit and my last visit, when he proposed, my mothers name? and the name and ages of my children - he answered all easily.
She said congratulations you are approved and your passport will be ready next week. He said he was really getting fustrated with everything going so slow and felt like they purposely drag it out.
Either way we are both super excited and so happy he does not have AP

Embassy Review : |
My fiancée arrived on Thanksgiving and was not treated well at all. The African American male officer basically accused him of fraud because of our age difference and made very many negative comments on what we could possibly have in common? questioned him in depth about my children , my previous husbands, my parents - much more questioning than the embassy did at his visa interview. The border patrol officer went as far as saying he would not be allowed to enter and after more than 1 1/2 hours of questioning and rude comments he finally let him enter.
He never welcomed him to the states and after making a note on his passport his
his final parting sarcastic words were " Beautiful Just Beautiful"
It was very stressful for him and completely unnecessary as we have two years of solid proof including evidence of my 5 visits to see him in Amman.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
