The interview was surprisingly painless. My fiance was asked questions about her year in the United States, her J-1 visa and the company she did her internship with. There were no requests for any of the pictures, phone records, etc. that she had prepared. She was approved and out of the interview by 9:30am.
Since my fiance is finishing her two year residency requirement of the J1 the VO told her they would wait until after the 2 year anniversary date to mail her visa. This seemed to be fair to me.
It my very limited experience, if you fill all the paperwork out properly and are legitimate about your relationship you should have no worries about the interview! |
