I was not able to attend the interview at the Embassy in Lima, but it was not an issue. The interview was thorough, but easy enough questions, and the interviewers were very friendly. |

I called the Atlanta airport to ask if assistance would be available in Spanish, as my fiance does not speak English. She told me that when she arrived at immigration/customs there was no one that worked there that spoke Spanish. They found someone that knew enough to ask her name and age, and they essentially waved her through with little to no communication. She did say that they were friendly, just not very prepared. |

Embassy Review : |
I was unable to attend the interview with my fiancee due to work, but this did not seem to be a problem. Other than the normal waiting in line a bit (very reasonable if arrive early), everything went very smoothly. The embassy staff were friendly...but did go into quite some detail on the questions. Two people conducted the interview, both Americans fluent in Spanish. My fiancee was a bit surprised at the detail and length of the interview, but we have a very solid relationship, so it was relatively easy for her. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
