Comments : My original I-129F was denied due to lack of evidence, so I refiled and sent everything I had. Second time was approved with no issues. During that time my Fiance was attending college. Since we had to take time to refile and wait for approval, my Fiance was able to complete a lot of her classes. We then decided to delay the medical and interview so my Fiance has time to graduate college before the visa expires and she goes to the US.

Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Pretty quick and uneventful. We stood in line longer than actually dealing/talking with the immigration officer. My Fiance walked up first and he asked her what she was here for, she said K1 visa. Then he asked where her Fiance is and she pointed to me waiting, so he motioned for me to come forward. We didn't go to any room, everything was done right at the booth. He just took our passports and verified everything. He asked me a couple questions about where I live, what my job is, and who I work for. He also took my Fiance's picture and fingerprints, asked if we understood everything or had any questions, then told us we have 90 days to get married.

Comments : March 17, 2015: Received a letter stating our application has been identified as a potential interview waiver case. Our case is currently pending and they anticipate a 6 month delay due to workload factors.

August 18, 2015: Received a letter stating there is another immigration file that must be obtained and reviewed before our case can be adjudicated. It said no additional information is required from us at this time.

October 14, 2015: Received a letter asking for more documents that would help to establish a valid marriage. Sent out on December 7, 2015 after waiting for my wife to be added to my health insurance and receiving confirmation.

January 20, 2016: Received another letter asking for proof of my US citizenship. Starting to really get frustrated with all this. Made a copy of my birth certificate and passport and sent out on January 28, 2016. I hope this is the last RFE.

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 2014-09-08
Embassy Review : Pretty quick and uneventful. We stood in line longer than actually dealing/talking with the CBP officer. My Fiance walked up first and he asked her what she was here for, she said K1 visa. Then he asked where her Fiance is and she pointed to me waiting next in line, so he motioned for me to come forward. We didn't go to any room, everything was done right at the booth. He just took our passports and verified everything. He also took my Fiance's packet of info and cut it open and just glanced through a few pages. He asked me a couple questions about where I live, what my job is, and who I work for. He also took my Fiance's picture and fingerprints, asked if we understood everything or had any questions, then told us we have 90 days to get married. That was it, only seemed like a few minutes. After that we got our luggage and went through the last security line and out the door.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
