Okay so I will relay what my fiance said he experienced at his interview today. First I want to add that we really front loaded our packet, this included about 60 pages of facebook, convos and photos. With a declaration of my intent to marry him.

My fiance said that the person who interviewed him was the black female CO, whom I had read from previous posts, was pretty mean. I had warned him before the interview to pray he did not get picked by her, but he quickly told me it would not matter who he got because he would simply tell that person what needed to know in order to get his visa. I thought it was a bit cocky, but actually his strength and affirmative attitude was the right mindset to have in this situation.

So he was called in by the black CO who asked:

So how did you guys meet?

How long have you dated?

She then asked how many children I had, asked the names, and their ages.

He promptly responded to the questions and she got up and left the room. She came back after a minute or so then went on to ask how we kept in touch, and what we spoke about he told her we spoke about. He told we had skype conversations, phone calls and emails and we spoke about everything from what we each had ate that day, to school, to finances, to children, everything. He then asked the CO if she wanted to see some of those pictures from our skype conversation. He asked her how many and she said three. She looked at the pictures and then left the room again.

After about a minute or so she asked several more questions:

When did your fiance get her divorce?

Are all of her children by her husband?

My fiance answered and then she got up again and when she came back she told him that all is well, to go and call me because his visa was approved!

My fiance did not even show any of our emails or phone records. So of note, we had a lot of evidence. We had emails a list of 300+, skype convos 50 pages, text and phone records, about 30 pages.

Some other things I sent that I think made all the difference, is I sent another notorized letter of intent to marry him, which she read. I sent receipt of my bridal gown, copies of our wedding invitation, copies of our reception venue prospective, and an actual credit card that had our picture embedded on the front, (capital one).

I hope this helps, also of note a person told me that the decision to get a visa is some times just a matter of luck. I firmly believe this because of the many other couples that were turned down that seemed just as valid. I believe God had favor upon us today, and ultimately was His grace that allowed us success during this interview. Thank you to all the VJer's who sent prayer and positive thought. And for those still going thru the process, have hope, be prepared, and PRAY!

Embassy Review : My fiance said his experience there went very well. He was surprised that his interview only lasted 10 mins. He was interviewed by a black female CO, whom has a reputation for being strict, but my fiance says she was okay with him. I believe they had good conversations from his account. He said he was overjoyed when he heard the news of our approval, and will be able to pick up his visa in a number of days.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
