The original card was lost in mail by USPS. We e-filed a replacement card on April 8 and requested an expedition based on financial loss (with my offer letter faxed as a supporting document requested by USCIS via email) on April 10. Meanwhile, we sought help from Congressman Roger Williams to expedite the case. On April 15, the case status showed "Card production" and the Congressman office phoned to inform us the progress. Btw, USCIS just skipped my biometrics even though I got the notice for the biometrics appointment scheduled on April 30.
**EAD card was finally received on April 21 and I was scheduled to return to work on April 22. The valid date is from 2014-02-11 to 2015-02-10.
P.S. We tried everything we could do to express our dissatisfaction with USCIS and USPS. We contacted our local post office (supervisor and mailmen), Consumer Affairs Office, Ombudsman's Office, Info Pass at San Antonio TX and filed a police report as a precaution of identity theft. All feedback we'd received was disappointing and frustrating so I would suggest to e-file a replacement card as soon as you believe the card is lost in mail no matter how long (normally it's 30 days) the customer service told you to wait. As soon as USCIS received the money, a new case starts all over again and it's finally to see the hope and some progress going on. |

Application packet returned on 05/12 due to incorrect fee of money order (correct fee $590 without dependents). Application packet resubmitted on 05/14 and NOA letter received less than two weeks.
07/05 called USCIS and got a request service for not receiving the biometrics appointment letter for over 45 days of the first NOA date. 7/18 received USCIS reply in email and finally got the ASC letter on 08/05 to schedule my biometrics appointment on 8/18.

My oath ceremony in San Antonio was taking about 3 hours. Strongly recommends not to bring young children for this kind of event:) |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
