Event Description

Embassy Review : Well we just went in for our 2:00 pm interview in St. Paul, MN. We got taken into the room right at our appointment time and on the way our IO had some idle chatter with us. We got sworn in and the IO asked for our IDs, passport and I-94. She didn't ask for the EADs but I handed them over anyway. She took the two expired ones and gave me the current one back. She started with basic Qs for my wife like what is your name, is this your signature, etc. Then she asked how we met. I was really nervous and kept interrupting my wife which I feel bad about. Then we got asked the following Qs:
- When did you move in together
- Do you have joint accounts?
- Do you still have individual accounts?
- Where do both of you work?
- Has your employer filed for an H1?

The the IO asked me the basic 485 questions and about my F1 history.. She then handed me my I94 & Passport back. She said she'd need to review the file further but we'd get a response soon. I asked to turn in some utility bills because originally, I'd only given in a screenshot of the online account. I wanted to turn in more of the evidence like insurance docs, etc. which weren't in our original filing but I was nervous so I didn't.

When we checked the USCIS website at 7:30 pm, it said we were approved.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
