Comments : The journey from the start when you submit the petition for k1 visa was a painful one. It's a long wait but at the end of it, it was worth it. We had an rfe but once we submitted what was needed there was no problem. It did delay our case by 2 months. Once the petition was approved things started moving and here I am now in New York and ready to tie the knot today.
Hang in there all of you and dont lose hope. Just do as asked and be active and have papers ready. It will help get things moving faster.
Good luck to everyone
Forgot to add that the interview was a bit intrusive and annoying but guess they were just doing their job. I had my divorce certificate but did not have a document that said i was single. I didnt know that such a document existed. After the interview I was given the opportunity to acquire a single status document and a corrective birth certificate. I was able to acquire that in one day and my visa was approved 10 days later

Embassy Review : Hi congratulations for having made it this far. I have a question. How were you notified that the consulate had your case? Our case left the nvc on the 29th July but we have not heard from the embassy as yet. I have all my documents ready but its so frustrating to have to wait.
Thanks
Chanda

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
