Local US CIS Office Review: Raleigh NC

Event Description
Review Date : August 23, 2012
Embassy Review : We had a lady interviewing us for the marriage green card application. The beginning was kinda tough because I forgot to bring my older passport (from Hong Kong) which had the J-1 visa in 2003 and no photo copies to verify that. Then we lacked the prove that we have a joint account (even the bank manager had written a letter for us), and that we live together (with a notarized letter from my mother-in-law). Then she asked if we have any other doc to prove our marriage was good, we just gave her our marriage license, copies of our emails, valentines day cards, birthday card, wedding announcement, tons of engagement/ wedding pictures. She asked us how we met and all, then verifying the questions that we answered on the application. She then told us that she will approve us (what a relief!).
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
