Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 5, 2012
Embassy Review : Me and my lil girl arrived at USEM @ 5:30am, weather not good to us but good thing I was able to brought along my lil girl's raincoat and an umbrella, its already 6am when the line started to move. Wednesday seems packed of Immigrant Applicants. Frisking and Bag Scanning..Oooops lil girl got some Gummy bears in her bag, but good thing fellow Ilonggo guards on duty secretly told me not to show the food inside, and just feed lil girl secretly  they can't do anything cuz it's in my daughter's bag and not in my bag. next step, passport and appointment letter was checked, had our queue number 6124... and the long wait starts again.

Finger scanning done by 8:25am.

Pre-screening of document done by 10am. me and my daughter went to Window 57, a filipino guy. I greeting him a Good Morning with a BIG SMILE on my face, and he also greeted my lil girl so lil girl just say HI. after that, I was asked my complete name, birthday, age and the name of the petitioner. then he asked my lil girl name, age and birthday. I was waiting for him to ask me few more questions but he didn't only asked for my NBI and CEMAR then he begin chit chat a not related petition questions, for he saw the medical certificate of my daughter and he began to share his own experience for he himself also got a daughter who got a mild Cerebral Palsy and also undergoing therapy. he praised me the way I raised my lil girl.. so chit chat lasted around 10min. he didn't even ask how did I met my hubby. he didn't even asked when did I got married or any question related to the petitioner. he only checked my pictures and return it to me then told me that consul will also check those photo's. so the Pre-interview done and said Good Luck to me and he said bye to my lil girl and lil girl threw him a goodbye kiss :P

Waited for an hour for Final Interview.

While waiting, Me secretly munching lil girl's gummy bears :P cuz momma likes gummies too.. hehehhe. anyways, Final Interview with a Young American Lady, I greeted her Good Morning, and she greeted me with a smile. and she also greeted my lil girl and asked her what's her name, age and birthday. and lil girl answered quickly :D loud and clear :P so the consul finds my lil girl cute. then consul started to ask questions, asked for my complete name, age and birthday. then she asked me if I have been married before, and I said never. then she asked where is the bio-father of my daughter and told her that he doesn't exist, then she laughs  and asked if my hubby got married before and I answered NO  , after that she asked for pictures, checked the civil wedding photos and she laughs when she saw the title "BORACAY INVASION" then she asked my daughter "who is this with you in the picture?" then lil girl answered "That's my DADI :D " after that, type...type...type.. and said "MA'AM THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED, PLEASE WAIT FOR AWHILE AND WAIT FOR YOUR NAME TO BE CALLED AT THE RELEASING WINDOW" and I was like   :wow: :wow: and asked her "REALLY?" and she said "YES!" then I said “THANK YOU SO MUCH” and left the window with a BIG :D on my face.

After 20 mins. Name called at the releasing ,window 71. Then he checked documents, checked his computer and said “MA’AM everything looks great you can now go home.”
And guess what? We really did go home.. and forgot to drop by Window 69 for the shipping form. I just realized I forgot something when I was checking my bag and saw the forms are still with me, so we made a quick lunch and head back to USEM.. hehehh.. blooper of the day, as what the guards joking on me, hehehe. Too much excitement cause forgetfulness.. heheheh. So after dropping our forms we went back to hotel took our long nap.. Zzzzzzzz!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
