Embassy Review : Very sleepy tonight!!! This is how my morning went...

5.45am - gave up on sleep!
6.30am - time to get up and shower
7.30am - left hotel to walk the 2.5 miles to the Embassy mostly thru Hyde Park - nice relaxing walk
8.30 - phone deposited at pharmacy and in line for security at the embassy! After emptying my bag and everything going thru the scanner separately following the scanner showing electronics, he finally asked if I had any cards that have batteries or anything and I thought - OH YEAH!!!!! I had 2 cards in the file that Jason had sent that speak to me!! He took them back out to mum who had been waiting to see me in ok and gave them to her! Bag repacked, rescanned and off I went to go in!
8.40am - sitting in embassy - let the wait commence!
9.00am - Called to window 14 where I had to submit all the forms - birth/police certificates and affidavit with supporting evidence. Finger prints taken. She asked a couple of times if I had been previously married - I felt like saying "Yes ma'am I AM 32 and never married!!" After seeing the Government headed employer letter she asked when Jason had returned to the US so obviously assumed he had been here and we met here so I put her right!
9.45am - INTERVIEW TIME!!!
Fingerprints checked and sworn with right hand raised to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth lol!!!
Questions:
When did you meet? August 2nd 2011
When did you return to the UK? End of September
How often have you seen each other since then? Just talked thru our year
When did you get engaged? February
So that was just 6 months after meeting? Yes sir, you know, we are both 32 and we knew what we were looking for in a partner and had been praying a lot about meeting the ONE.
How do your parents feel about it all? They love him so are happy for me!
How do you keep in contact? - Video chat, magic jack, email, cards
Where does he live? Frederick - he works at Fort Detrick
Do you have savings or will your fiance be supporting you fully? - I have savings due to selling my flat which we have used some of to pay off his car and student loans so we can start married life debt free - he seemed impressed by that!
Where is his family from? Knoxville, TN
Does he have brothers or sisters? 1 brother, 2 sisters
Who is the oldest? his brother - he's 10 years older
What is his name? Charlie
Does he have family? 2 sons
What are there names? Caleb and Ben
How old are they? 18 and 15
What school is Caleb going to go to? He's not sure what he wants to do yet so hasn't gone to school this year

All felt very much like just chatting - not like an interrogation at all even tho it looks like it after writing all that down!!! It was all very relaxed and he was smiling all thru it so I did too!!!

He told me it was approved and altho I was SCREAMING and jumping up and down inside I managed to maintain composure and just grinned excessively and said thank you a lot and wished him a good day!

Went to the courier desk to pay for delivery - tried to do the guaranteed before 8am but earliest they would do for where I live was before 12pm. I asked if paying a few £s more for that would prioritize me over standard payments and she said yes so I went for it! What's another £4 in the grand scheme of things lol!!!

10.10am - Exit the building!! All in all a very good embassy experience
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
