Embassy Review : |
Marlon was at the embassy at 8:30am for his 9:30 appointment. Hw went right in after they took some paperwork and staples the pictures to that. He went through security and was directed to take a number and sit down. He was then called up and got pingerprinted and filled out some forms. Then he sat back down for about an hour and a half. He was then called to another window where he had a lady ask him the following questions:
-How did you meet?
-who proposed marriage, you or her?
-how did you propose?
-how do you communicate? when he said over the phone she asked to see the phone records
-what is her phone number?
-write out her name
-what are your wedding plans? when he said in Las Vegas, she asked why there? why not Jamaica? He said because we have to get married in USA (trick question I guess LOL)
-do you have pictures? he gave her our engagement pictures album. she looked at it and said Ok go pay the DHL fee. YAAAAAAY
He said it was pretty easy and straigtforward even though everyone was a little intimidating. He was in and out and on the bus back to Negril in 3 hours. overall an easy breezy process ))

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
