Embassy Review : |
It was a very good experience for me. My interview was last Nov 28, 2012 scheduled at 7:30AM.
I was already in line outside of the embassy at around 6AM. At the gate, the lady asked for my passport, interview appointment confirmation and DS forms. Thank God i found out about VJ, all the tips about whats not allowed inside is very helpful.
I was interview first by a fellow filipino. He asked me some very common questions about our relationship and some information about Paula. My interview with the consul took no less than 10 minutes. We had a very quick chat. He asked me if we really are in love with each other, when and where did i met her, and when and where do we plan to get married. At the end of our conversation, he said that he'll approve my Visa. I cant really express how happy i am when i heard that. As i look back, i picture myself having this huge smile on my face looking like retard. LOL.
But seriously, once you got the good news, the looooong wait and agony of being away from the one you love will just go away.
You also might want to get to know some people who are also waiting to be interviewed to kill time. In my case, i met 3 people who are all applying for K1.
I'll be leaving on Dec 23 and will be with Paula this Christmas and forever.
I just want to thank all of those who shared their experience/s. This is my way of giving back what i've gained from all of you. Good luck to all of those who just started their journey, those who are waiting for their NOA2 (Dont EVER give up), and Merry Christmas to all.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
