It was long and painful, I think we just got a terrible interviewer.
We did file for AOS after two years so we got a 10 year greencard right off the bat. |

Coming from the initial checkpoint into the secondary area where they separate visitors from citizens there was an older lady directing everyone who obviously hated her job....one of her co workers was nice enough to tell me that we could go through the citizens side together as I thought we had to separate...
After the long line and only six officers working, maybe half an hour in line...our turn...a few basic questions, asked Giselle for her package from the embassy...some small talk with me...fingerprint and picture for Giselle...reminded us about marrying within 90 days, reminded us she couldn't leave the US without special permission...more small talk...looked at my passport....Welcome to the United States to her and welcome home to me....
We stood in line much longer than we stood at the counter...maybe 10 minutes tops. |

Comfortable building, good service, fairly quick through everything leading up to the interview.
Once in the interview I could tell immediately that the woman didn't like me. Then she starts looking at the file like she never saw it before, long story short over the course of the next few month's she found one thing at a time to ask for new information. You would think that they could look at everything and give you everything that was needed all at once.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
