It all took 15-20 mins, without any problem. I was a little worried if I would catch my connecting flight 2 and a half hours later to San Fran, but got to the gate with plenty of time. Immigration officers were a little grumpy, but only to be expected I guess!! Would recommend going through JFK! |

I would recommend to anyone filing for the N400 to WAIT 2 weeks before sending the initial application off. So don't send it off exactly 90 days prior to the 3/5 yr anniversary. Some applications get processed TOO quickly (like mine) and you may get your N400 interview before your 3/5 yr anniversary and your application may then get "deferred" for sometime afterwards. The trick is to delay the application process a little and time it so you have your N400 interview a week after your anniversary has passed, this way (depending on the field office) you may get your oath ceremony on the same day as your N400 interview, good luck! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
