Event Description

Embassy Review : My husband went into the US Embassy at 12:00pm. His appointment for 12:30pm. He went through security. Showed them his passport and appointment letter. My husband just took his documents with him inside and just left everything not allowed in his car.

He took a number, waited until his number was called. He was greeted by a india officer. Took his finger prints. They didn't need any of photo passports he brought or the DS-260 Confirmation document even tho he tried to hand it over.

He was told that your wife seem like she dosen't make enough and would be a public charge, but my husband had brought a new I-864 with increase in wage and assets combined. My husband told him about the increase in wage and assets in the documents he had.

The officer said to give them to the next officer when his number was called for the actual interview. When they finally called him. He was greeted by a white american women. He did the oath of raising the right hand to swear to tell the truth. After that he handed over the New I-864/pay stabs/bank statements. She looked them over. Asked questions about what's put on the forms of what they are.

She said base on the new income increase/assets your wife has and of my husband's career and education. (He's an aircraft mechanic for 2 years now. Has diploma with Computer Science along with aircraft mechanic diploma with Jordan license and will be getting the Saudi license before he come overs to the USA.) She decided we wouldn't be a public charge and everything look okay.

Questions asked:

How did you meet?
Do you have job offer in the US?
What's your plan when you get to the US?

Looked over our photos my husband brought with him. Some had pictures with our trip to New Zealand where we got married.

Why did you decide to marry in New Zealand?

After that she said everything looks good. Kept his passport and read him his rights on abuse. Told him to go to the Fedex courier. He paid the delivery fee. Took the option to delivery to Makkah. Give him a tracking number and he was free to go. ^_^

As long as you tell them the truth and have all your documents with you to the interview just in case they need something or they lost it. Always bring everything. The interview will be very smooth sailing.

Blessed that officer for approving us and this community! May you all get rewarded for your good deeds. Without you all we would have been lost and going through such hardship. Thank you everyone!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
