Comments : .Everything is much better now that the Interview is passed!....20 minutes long

After swearing in, asked for Passport, Green Card and Drivers License.

The six civics questions were:

1. What is the name of the national anthem?

2. What Ocean is on the west coast of the Untied States?

3. Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

4. What is the rule of law? (only one of the 4 responses was required)

5. What major event happened on September 11, 2001 in the United States?

6. How old do citizens have to be to vote for President?

Then reviewed the entire N400, including all of the yes/no questions.

English Test: Read: How many U.S Senators are there?

Write: There are 100 Senators.

Signed the Form, then the photos, and was asked for any other documents. (none)

Then was Told ......You Passed! Congratulations!!!

Then told to wait outside for Oath Ceremony Letter.

After 20 more minutes, my name was called and was handed my form that states my Oath is Nov. 12, 2015 at the Federal Couthouse in Detroit.

EVERYTHING has been completed

Event Description
Review Date : October 19, 2012
Embassy Review : It was not very difficult, just mostly waiting. Arrived at 5am for the 6:15 am scheduled appt. Just got in line for what was a first come first served approach. Many there since 3 am. First guard review was at 7 am, needed 2 (TWO) copies of the appointment letter and Passport. Go through security check, then on to window where the all important ticket number is assigned (6153) was the lucky number. Then go to seating area by 7:30 am and watch board. -standing room only so we were put outside and it was getting warmer by the minute. 9am ..finally called to the biometrics window. After two attempts prints were able to be recorded. Then more waiting...10 am pre-interview. Basic questions and pleasant. Did look at wedding photos. More waiting....11:45 am most were gone, and number was flashing..Nice CO who repeated most of questions. Also wanted to see wedding photos..specifically with the present family members. The CO had some problem finding the information related to my divorce decree in the file. Having my original with me quickly resolved all issues in about 15 seconds. So bring everything and leave happily as she said Approved!. More waiting to go to a final window for final check. Then to the next window for 2go delivery information...and we were finished by 12:45....long 7 plus hours. I flew in the night before so was going on over 30 hours without sleep. Now I am much better!!!!! Just keep the faith, tell all truth, and things will be just fine.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
