Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 10, 2012
Embassy Review : Arrived at the embassy at around 9.20am, My interview was at 10.00am but there was a small line so decided to join it! I got asked for my interview letter & Passport by two people also to put my watch in my bag, then joined the small line to go into the security 'room'. They put my bag through a scanner, make sure you have NOTHING electrical at all! I then walked through a scanner, all fine. Onto the short walk to the enterance. You go upstairs to a desk where you get a I or N Number. Mine was I. You are directed up more stairs to a huge room. Found a seat and watched the monitors and listened to the numbers being called out. There were many N numbers, not many I's, so I was wondering if I was in the right place! My number got called to window 1. the lady had all my documents, I had to do the fingerprints there, and we chatted abit, she did say don't be nervous! I was there for about 5mins because she couldnt find my medical documents. (The embassy moved my interview forward 2weeks.) She eventually found it and gave me a pink slip of papaer which I wrote my details for the courier company while I was waiting for my interview. I read the back of the paper which says you can wait several hours for an interview. By the time I had read that, my name was called out to another window where I had my interview. He asked a few questions, gave me back my birth/marriage and police certificates. Then said it was approved!!! Told me to go pay the courier company, there was only a short line when I got there. Paid them and left! I was in and out within one hour! Happy and amazed I left!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
