Consulate Review: Madrid, Spain
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : Fast and easy. My appointment was at 12:30. I had time to pick up the medical results and go to the embassy on time (20-25 minutes walking). No line on the embassy. I got the number and I was called right the way. I gave all the papers to a Spanish woman and 30 seconds after I was told to wait, I was called again in another window. An american consul interviewed me. Well, he just asked me 2 questions: where did I meet my girlfriend and when... I signed the paper in front of him and after he was typing for 4-5 minutes I was out of there to have a great Menú del Día. I was just 15-20 minutes in the embassy. Easy and great atention of the personnel inside the Embassy. The only problem with the embassy is that they send the files expired inside the package. So you wait for the envelope but then you have to download the new files. Also, because they send this envelope via ordinary mail it can get lost. It happened to me and that meant a week delay. Other than that everything was great.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
