Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 28, 2012
Embassy Review : Hi,
My learning is:

Whole process was breeze and it was not that scary at all.

*Reached Embassy at 7am for 7:45am interview with my USC spouse.
*Entered embassy at 7:30 am, got my fingerprints done by 8am.
*Waited until 9am before being called by Pr-screening Indian officer for documents check.Though, I submitted my last 3 years tax papers but officer still asked for 2011 tax papers which I submitted again,as I was prepared for this question(thanks to VJ reviewers who always advised to carry most recent year tax papers to interview).
*Had my main interview at 10 am.Officer asked for my marriage date,my in-laws address, gathering, and USC spouse introduction. After some typing, officer congratulated me for my visa.

The two things that helped me were:
Had my USC spouse with me during interview
And,prior to interview, I submitted all of my documents and medical , phone logs emails, facebook chat and comments to VFS,which gave ample time to officers to review my case and made my life easy at interview.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
