Embassy Review : |
I got to the consulate around 6:30 a.m (I live very close, like 10 minutes from there) I found a hugeeeeeeeeee line, but I was inside before 7:15 am. I sat in the famous benches and waited for my number to be called I was 173. I went by myself because my husband was working and didnt want to take days off at work because me and the kids were going to spend christmas with him over there. My number was called around 8:00 am to window 19 and they asked for my police certificate, my 2 x 2 pictures, and the Banco Popular receipt, they asked me if we had kids I said yes, if I had tourist visa, I said yes, they asked me if I brought my kids american passports and birth certificates, I said yes and they made copies of them, then they asked me to go to window 15 for the finger prints. I went to sit again and more wait, I was called around 8:45 am to window 20 and a very nice lady asked me how long we've been married, if the kids were born here, why did I come here to give birth, then she started checking all the papers and signing few of them. After that she told me that she was going to cancel my tourist visa because I wont longer need it CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APROVED, That's it no more questions she didn't even ask why my husband wasn't present at the interview. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
