Appointment for 11:15, got there are 11, was called in at 11:05
Left :11:20
IO was very professional and pleasant, cracked only 2 small smiles the entire time.
She swore us in, then asked for all originals. Passports, Birth certificates, SSN, EAD. She took the I-94 out of my passport and wrote in it that my AOS is pending. Turned to my husband and asked him my name, b-day, when we met, when we moved to the current address, where I lived before this address.
Asked me when I entered the US, if I left the US since.
Asked my husband if he met my parents, what are their first names, if I met his parents. Then asked me what my husbands full name, b-day, place of birth and parents' first names are.
Then she went through the Yes/No questions in the I-485.
Asked if we have any additional proof we want to submit. Refused pictures because I had already submitted some, and stopped me after a few documents saying that that was more than enough
She DID NOT take my EAD card, made us sign a document that we were there and that it'll take up to 60 days to receive any news from them, asked us if we have any questions and escorted us out. Total time 10-15 minutes.
IO did not take my EAD. Was approved in 4 days. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
