Miami is busy airport so it took him 2 hours, mostly waiting. Other than that everything was good.
It took two weeks for him to receive SS & GC. |

Embassy Review : |
Arrived at the Embassy @ 6:30. There were 2 lines one for 7:15 (Visas) & 7:30 (Immigration).
Present the interview letter to guard and was directed into the building.
Proceed to the glass door, take a number and have a seat. He was #2.
Step 1. A woman ask him questions at the window. She was a local who did this step.
They called your # to submit documentation that was required in the letter (Passport, Pictures, Medical) put into the folder they gave you.
She then question him: What is your Marital Status? How many ppl reside in the home you will be residing with in the US? If you ever travel to US? Do I have any other passport?
(If you renew your passport and you traveled on your old one you should walk with it. )
He was then directed to take his finger prints.
He was given back his letter, photos and return to your seat and wait for your name to be called.
He sat there for 45 minutes before they called his name.
Step 2.
He proceed to a different window in which he was interviewed by US national.
He was then ask to swear and sign the DS230.
She then questioned him: Who is the person who filled out the application on his behalf? Who is that person to him? What is my wife\'s address? How many kids do we have? When did we start our relationship?
Where did we hook back up & What year? She then stated so you hooked back up in March 2011 & Married in June 2011? Wasn\'t that to quick? What makes you think you\'re going to like US? How long have your spouse been living in the US?
That was the end of the questions. Original Documentation was returned to him. (Marriage certificate & BC)
He was not asked to show pictures, text, phone records.
She stated: Your Immigrant Visa have been APPROVED & Congratulations.
Thats It!

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
