Mark had his K-1 interview scheduled today for 8:30am. He woke up this morning with a phone call from me at 4:20am after a restful 2 hour night of sleep. He got to Kings Cross at 7:40 after an hour 45 min train ride. Took a cab to Goulds pharmacy to drop off his phone and keys.
Proceeded to get in a really short queue around 8:00am at the US Embassy. He went through security and sat down around 8:10am.
He was called to a window by his number I910 at 9:10am. Presented to the moderately pleasant British black woman his birth cert, divorce cert, police cert, and copies and court records if any, MRV fee receipt, followed by a few basic questions about the forms, then asked for the I-134 documents. This only took about 15 minutes. She then asked him to take a seat again and wait for his name to be called.
After another hour and a half and after lots of time to memorize each window and the purpose of each he came to the conclusion he assumed the K visas get called to window 15 or 16..lol. Happened to see another Vjer get called up to the K window 16 while he waited 
At 10:55am Mark was called up to window 16 to a really friendly American Chinese man who greeted him with a smile.
The questions he was asked were:
How did you meet?
How did your relationship progress?
When was the last time you saw each other?
Have you both been married?
Do you both have children?
What does your fiance do for a living?
He did seem to throw a trick question in. How old are Annie's 2 children? (Annie has 3 children)... So, Mark corrected him by stating "she has 3 whose ages are..."
Mark also found something odd and thought it might be a ploy as we have read this before on these interviews. A young man came and interrupted the interviewer and told Mark, "you will have to excuse me", he got up and left for several minutes. Mark thinks it is some sort of ploy to try to lose your concentration or fluster you. The interviewer came back after just a few short minutes and apologized and then asked about his police certificate. And then told Mark he can go to the courier desk to pay for the visa. Mark asked does this mean I have been approved?! The man answered, "yes, that would be correct!" Mark told him he would shake his hand if there wasn't a glass between them. The man wished Mark good luck and he went to paid the courier fee.
He ran to Gould's to fetch his phone, called me and began to get lost in London as he started walking with no direction in mind while he talked to me so relieved and excited to say the least!! APPROVED!! Waited so long to hear those words! 9 months to the day since our I-129F was submitted. So relieved this part of our journey is over. Good luck to all of you that are still waiting, you are in our thoughts we know what you are going through, and this definately has been well worth the wait, can't wait to be with my honey. Thank you Visa Journey, this was the best thing we could have found during this process.
