First of all, I would like to thank visa journey for this community has been my best friend since our journey started.
So my AOS interview got approved today and this is how it went...
Appointment time is at 8:45am at Sacramento, CA. I will skip the step-by-step part from the security until I was called. My husband and I were just praying and hoping we will be assigned to one of them who "smiles". So we were called exactly 8:45am by a guy American interviewer and his first greeting to us was his awesome smile asked how we were doing and went straight to a small room. We introduced ourselves and did the pledge. He asked for our IDs, my passport...and he took my I-94 and said he will be keeping it since I won't need it anyway. The questions were: My name, my address, date of birth, place of birth, where in the Philippines I was born, if I am currently working, if I have a baby, if my husband have a baby, my current phone number, so he just basically went through the questions on the form. He then asked for our marriage license, my husband's passport/ certificate of citizenship, looked at it and gave it back to us. He also asked if we have joint accounts or any bills or documents under both our names. We showed our joint bank accounts and health insurance documents. He then said our papers look good and congratulations for getting approved and my green card should come within 2-4 weeks. He explained about and when to apply for removal of conditions and asked for our signatures on one document and gave us the original copy of it. The last part was him making a copy of my passport and both our IDs and congratulated us once again.
My husband and I felt so blessed and grateful for all the blessings God has given us! And again, thank you visa journey for EVERYTHING!!!
Good luck to everyone!!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
