Obviously I was a little nervous about going through the immigration/arrival process but I needn't have worried about anything.
I went up to the first stage of immigration, handed over my brown envelope of visa 'goodies' to the officer who then took me through to second stage.
I took a seat and waited for about 10 minutes. An officer picked up my documents and called me over. He stamped and gave me my I94 stapled into my passport and informed me of the 90 day marriage rule. He then wished me good luck for the future and a happy marriage.
I rushed down to collect my luggage and continue my very happy journey into the USA! |

I was sent an "Interview Waiver" letter in September stating that it would take another 6 months from then for them to approve and that I may qualify to have my interview waived.
I received the email stating that my AOS had been approved on November 22nd so only 2 months after receiving the letter.
No interview required and actual Green Card received 1 week later. Application was processed by the National Benefits Center |

Embassy Review : |
I arrived at the Embassy at 8:20am after dropping off my mobile phone at Gould's Pharmacy. Finally got inside the Embassy at 9:05am. I was concerned as my interview was scheduled for 9am but the security staff outside said that the time is irrelevant and not to worry. Once inside, I got my ticket number from the desk and took a seat.
I was called after waiting for about 20 minutes. I handed my original documents over and had my fingerprints taken. The man gave me my X-Ray DVD, gave me my courier form to fill out and then told me to take a seat.
I was called for my interview about 2 and a quarter hours later. My officer was a lovely lady, very smiley. She went through my documents and gave me back my originals. She made me swear the usual oath that everything I was saying and had said was the truth, etc. Then she asked how we met, have we met each other's family and friends, have we visited each other if so when and how many times, how we felt about each other, and then finally she asked why I wanted to move to the US and why I wanted to marry my Fiancee.
All through the questioning she was very happy and smiley which naturally helped to relax me. All the questions were things that you would talk about to a friend or relative.
After the questioning she said she needed someone else to come over. Her supervisor came over and showed me the envelope that I would receive, that I wasn't allowed to open it, etc. After that they asked me to sign a form and print my Fiancees name on it.
They then finally both looked at me and with big smiles said "congratulations your Visa has been granted today". I said thanks very much and how much I wanted to hug them, then left and paid for my Visa delivery.
Everyone at the Embassy was very friendly and was genuinely excited for me, or so I felt. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
